I wrote this track during the first lockdown, where my husband and I were stranded either side of the Atlantic due to travel restrictions spending more than 8 months apart. When I released the acoustic version of the song on my EP "Songwriter Vol.1" it seemed to strike a chord with so many people about their own experiences of hope, loneliness and support during these trying times.

The recording was done mainly in my home studio in Edinburgh with additional instrumentation added remotely. Strings were arranged and recorded by Elspeth Mackay, Upright bass by Ruairidh Morrison and additional guitars from Liam Narrie, who also mixed the track in his studio in London, adding the clarity and dynamic range I felt the track needed.

I'd like to thank everyone involved for all of the work, love and energy they put into this song. Without their help I couldn't have pulled it off. I'd also like to dedicate this song to my husband for all of his unwavering support in everything I do.
